About Symphony School of Music

Meet the tutor.

Sam started learning his first instrument at the age of 5 years. He has been playing the piano for 15 years, drums for 11 years, and guitar and ukulele for almost 5 years. He's been in his church band since he was 11 years old playing drums, keyboard, guitar and bass. He played drums in a national conference at the age of 14.
Sam has NCEA Level 1 and Level 2 in Music, and loves music theory. Over his years in school, he has had the opportunity to perform both as a soloist and in bands. In both of his years in NCEA, he passed his performances and compositions with Excellence.

Since then, Sam has spent several years as a music teacher in a music academy, gaining experience along the way.

Sam looks forward to passing his knowledge on to anyone who wishes to learn. He has been privileged with amazing tutors over the years and their example has inspired him to share his love for music with others.
